My#408K Race to the Row Experience

Another medal added to my collection.

I ran the #408k Race To The Row today with friends and other Represent Running Crew and Ambassadors. woohoo!

Here’s a photo of the Represent Running Crew (some are not in the picture):

The #408k Race To the Row was held in San Jose,California. It’s an 8k (5-mile) run event. 408 is the area code of San Jose and that’s why it’s called #408k. No, we didn’t run 408 kilometers (that’s 253 miles!), that would be crazy if it was!

Here’s a photo of me at the starting line:

We started at the SAP Center and finished at Santana Row. It rained for a bit but it didn’t stop me or us, the participants, from running the whole course.

It’s my first running event and medal for this year and I’m amazed on how my performance has improved. I ran the whole 5 miles without a problem. I kept my pace and my breathing was actually great! I wasn’t struggling or whatever. I remember about two years ago, I had to stop a few times just to catch my breath and would think of quitting. I guess by teaching Zumba 6-8 times a week got me better physically and mentally.

Overall, It was a memorable experience. I realized that I am stronger than I thought I was and that I am capable to do anything.  I am proud to say that I did it! I ran the #408k Race To The Row!
